Being Grateful

Posted by Tina Doueihi on

Today, I am writing about being grateful, because I have a lot to be grateful for. A lot.

Every day, well more days than not….I am human and have my down days, I wake up and say thank you to the big bloke upstairs and all his executive staff. I honestly believe there is someone seriously looking out for me. Every night (again more days than not), I also say thank you for the day I had.

My usual list of things that I am grateful for and say thank you are my health, the opportunity to create Red Fern Lingerie and return the choice to my sister survivors, my family and friends. Other days I add other things…lunch with my friends, the blessings of my nieces, nephews and Godchildren, my home, food on the table.

Today, I am so grateful, I was happy dancing in the morning and practically skipping home just now. Why? This morning I woke up to read a tweet from Elisabeth Dale of The Breast Life about Red Fern Lingerie. Elisabeth also posted a photo on her Instagram account. Check her out Elisabeth Dale is a bra expert extraordinaire and to have her tweet and post a photo on Instagram is beyond fabulous. As you can only imagine, it really set the tone for my day. Happy and grateful.

Earlier this afternoon I had my annual check-up with my breast surgeon. Usually on my appointment day I become quite anxious and my blood pressure rises….well, no surprise there. So, I decided to go to morning training at the beautiful Bronte beach. Training with the surf in the background and with the person who helped me with my fitness after treatment, again grateful. The training also helped me work off some of my anxiety leading to my appointment.

I then saw my surgeon and thankfully he was happy with the scans and his examination. When he is happy, I am very happy….and relieved.

Did I celebrate all the amazing and wonderful things that happened to me today? Absolutely!! I had my favourite dessert at The Sweet Spot, I bought myself some fun earrings and I went to Church and lit a candle to Mother Mary and said thank you.

Oh, and there is a new stockist, Heavenly Curves at Wetherill Park. Again, grateful for Maria’s support and faith in me and the Red Fern Lingerie brand. We are currently stocked in Colleen’s Post Mastectomy Connection, Canberra, Leila O’Toole, Sydney and Heavenly Curves, Wetherill Park…..with more boutiques to come. If you are unable to attend the stockists, we also have an online boutique redfernlingerie.com

Please feel free to send me an email with your thoughts and feedback.

Love and health

Tina xx
