50 Shades of Pink. Women of Breast Influence - Michelle Sheppard

This month I introduce you to Michelle Sheppard, a gorgeous Trans Woman, who I met through social media.  We connected over our love of bras (surprise) and I am happy that I was able to help Michelle.  Although Michelle has not experienced breast cancer personally, I believe her story is important; her advocacy work within her community and teaching her young daughters about body confidence.  Michelle was recently invited by Cancer Council Victoria to participate in their “The Beautiful Women Campaign”.  This campaign is designed to celebrate the beauty and diversity of women and encourage all women in all communities,...

Bringing mastectomy lingerie into mainstream

What an exciting start to our year at Red Fern Lingerie. So much has been happening. Where do I begin? One of my personal goals has always being to bring awareness that breast cancer survivors are women who deserve the same choice in lingerie we enjoyed before diagnosis and treatment. What I love about this song is that I can feel the strength and power in being a woman. As the song says…. “Oh yes I am wise, but it's wisdom born of pain. Yes, I've paid the price, but look how much I gained. If I have to, I can do anything.” I don’t know if I would consider...

Time

This past weekend was a long weekend (thanks Queen Liz) and it was wonderful to have that extra day. Time to relax and just be. This weekend had me thinking about how busy our lives are and how sometimes we forget to step back and smell the roses. The sad things is we are always finding reasons why we don’t have time. Yes, the reasons are valid, yet it is essential for our soul, health and wellbeing to find the time to treat ourselves. Treating oneself is different for everyone. For me it is brunch with my friends, coastal walks,...
