Celebrating 10 Years of thriving after my breast cancer diagnosis
WOW!!! Ten years ago last month, 18 April, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At the start of this year, I was ecstatic that I was reaching my 10 year anniversary since diagnosis, or what we call in the cancer community cancerversary. Pinktober is Pinkover.....or is it?
Pinktober is Pinkover for another year. All things pink is packed away until next year. Although, the dedicated month to breast cancer is pinkover, the need to be aware continues. This disease is real and does not discriminate. We need to continue raising awareness there remains a great need for research to improve patient outcomes. Breast cancer is more than one month of awareness. It is a disease that changes lives, changes our bodies, places us in early menopause, makes us infertile and so much more…..
