Pinktober is Pinkover.....or is it?

Posted by Tina Doueihi on

Pinktober is Pinkover for another year.  All things pink is packed away until next year.  Although, the dedicated month to breast cancer is pinkover, the need to be aware continues.  This disease is real and does not discriminate.

We need to continue raising awareness there remains a great need for research to improve patient outcomes.  Breast cancer is more than one month of awareness.  It is a disease that changes lives, changes our bodies, places us in early menopause, makes us infertile and so much more…..

Research is extremely important. I cannot stress the importance of research enough.  Without research, I would not be alive and well.  It will be 9 years on 7 November since my last chemo cocktail infusion and I am grateful that I am here.  Yet, I am one of the lucky ones.

Today, I had my annual check-up with my oncologist (I still see my oncologist and breast surgeon annually, which means I am still on six monthly check-up appointments).  My oncologist was happy, and when he is happy, trust me, I am happy.  Yet, I cannot say this enough, I am one of the lucky ones.

My good friend, Yvonne, from One Piece of Advice, is raising funds for research for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.  Please support Yvonne and donate to support research.

Thank you for your continued support of me and Red Fern Lingerie.  I love helping women reclaim their body confidence and heal through the beauty of lingerie.  Your support is truly appreciated.  Recently, our customer Joy wrote “….then I discovered Red Fern Lingerie online.  I've since ordered three of their size 10A (32A) bras, and have been more than pleased with how pretty and comfortable they are!  Of course, I had to order the matching briefs, too.  Tina Doueihi, the founder and creator of Red Fern, has been extremely helpful and understanding.  I applaud her efforts to help women like myself reconnect with their femininity after breast cancer surgery.  Thank you, Tina!”

Please feel free to send me an email with your thoughts and feedback and don’t forget to hug the ones you love.

Love & Health

Tina xx
