I am Woman

One of my all-time favourite ‘female strong’ song is “I am Woman” by Helen Reddy. This song was released in 1972 and to this very day, I still love it and want to sing it loud and proud….and quite off-key.

What I love about this song is that I can feel the strength and power in being a woman. As the song says…. “Oh yes I am wise, but it's wisdom born of pain. Yes, I've paid the price, but look how much I gained. If I have to, I can do anything.”

I don’t know if I would consider myself wise, but I do give everything my 100% commitment. There were many times that I doubted myself and questioned why I took on a Mount Everest task. The answer was always the same. It was my absolute belief that my sister survivors deserved a better choice in lingerie.

We survived a disease that did its best to take away all things woman. We had treatment that is harsh and strips us of all things feminine and the final blow was the lingerie market no longer saw us as the strong women who fought to live and want the choice to wear gorgeous lingerie.

Wearing lingerie sets always made me feel strong and feminine. It set the tone for my day and it was my treat to myself. I hope that when you wear Red Fern Lingerie you feel beautiful, sexy, feminine and ‘I AM (STRONG) WOMAN.’

Just a reminder that we are currently stocked in Colleen’s Post Mastectomy Connection, Canberra; Leila O’Toole, Sydney; and Heavenly Curves, Wetherill Park…..with more boutiques to come. If you are unable to attend the stockists, we also have an online boutique redfernlingerie.com

Please feel free to send me an email with your thoughts and feedback.

Love and health
